Our team is taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!

This September we're taking part in Stride for Stroke to raise awareness about stroke and raise funds for the Stroke Foundation, which provides vital support to stroke survivors and their families, while also educating Australians about stroke risk, prevention and recovery.

This cause is incredibly close to our hearts. Almost a year ago, our brother, dad and husband, Garren ("Gaz"), suffered a massive stroke. During those first terrifying weeks while Gaz was in ICU, the Stroke Foundation's resources helped our family understand what had happened, what to expect, and how to navigate such an overwhelming time. When Gaz woke from his coma, those same resources became an important part of helping him understand what had happened to him and the long road ahead.

Gaz's resilience, courage and determination throughout his recovery have been an incredible inspiration to everyone who knows him. It's a privilege to be taking on this fundraiser together as a family, with Gaz joining our team as he continues his remarkable recovery journey.

Almost 47,000 Australians will have a stroke this year — that's one every 11 minutes.
