I’m taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!
Hey there,
For the month of September I am attempting to raise some funds for Stroke Foundation.
In the last year this cause has become very close to my heart as the man who is my Boss, Dad and best mate suffered a stroke.
I have witnessed firsthand the fantastic work that Stroke Foundation does.
They provided us with excellent, easy to understand information packs in the early days when nothing was making sense and they’ve created social groups around the country that survivors can go to, share experiences and stories with each other as they can only truly understand what each other are going through.
Dad’s journey has been incredible to witness from deaths door, to the ICU for a month, to the nuero ward, to the rehab ward and now back home. His life is not the same as it was but he’s an absolute fighter and he’s attempting to gain as much autonomy as he can.
Organisations like Stroke Foundation make survivors lives just that little bit easier and give hope and community to people who feel like they’ve lost theirs.
I’m looking forward to achieving this Stride for Stroke move challenge with our strong team led by Dad!
