My Progress

Minutes Moved:
113 minutes
We’re doing it, for those that can’t.
Hi! My name is Sally, and I’m a speech pathologist working in stroke care. I have seen the impacts of stroke from minutes, to years after a stroke occurs. I have witnessed miraculous recovery, and devastating loss, with each stroke survivor navigating a unique set of challenges
In Australia, a stroke occurs every 11 minutes. 1 in 4 are under the age of 65. Regional Australians are 17% more likely to experience a stroke. 80% of strokes are preventable.
Behind each statistic is a person navigating not just physical recovery, but the challenge of reconnecting with their loved ones, their independence, and their place in the world.
I’m raising funds to help create a future with fewer strokes - through prevention, awareness, and better care for those affected.
So far I have helped Stroke Foundation deliver…

Initial advice and support from a health professional on StrokeLine

A stroke recovery pack to three survivors of stroke

Training to a StrokeSafe volunteer to deliver community talks.

Funding to stroke researchers to find the next game-changer in stroke.
