I’m taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!
Hiii!!
This year, I’m taking part in Stride 4 Stroke in September in memory of my nanna, while also helping raise awareness about strokes and the importance of recognising the signs and acting quickly.
Late last year, my beautiful nanna who I was very close with suffered two strokes, and sadly, she passed away as a result.
Stroke can happen to anyone, at any age, and knowing the warning signs can make such a huge difference to someone’s chances of receiving treatment and recovering. I want to help spread awareness so that more people understand how serious strokes are, know what to look out for, and hopefully help prevent other families from experiencing the heartbreak that mine has.
Almost 47,000 Australians will have a stroke this year — that’s one every 11 minutes.
This year, every $11 raised represents one stroke expected in Australia. I’m aiming to make as much impact as I can — and I’d love your support.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, would mean so much to me and my family. Your support will help contribute towards stroke awareness, research, education, prevention and support for people affected by stroke and their families. I’m proud to be doing this in honour of my nanna and to help turn such a difficult experience into something that can hopefully make a difference for others.
Thank you so much for your support. It truly means more than you know. 💗💗
So far I have helped Stroke Foundation deliver…
Initial advice and support from a health professional on StrokeLine
A stroke recovery pack to three survivors of stroke
Training to a StrokeSafe volunteer to deliver community talks.
Funding to stroke researchers to find the next game-changer in stroke.
