I’m taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!
Hi there, I'm taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation to help create a future with fewer strokes.
In January 2025, I was 44 years old and I had a stroke. I was fit and healthy. It was a complete shock and a life changing event.
My beautiful husband recognised the signs of stroke straight away. I am wanting to raise funds to help promote awareness and education of stroke symptoms.

I don’t even know where to start…..
So along with my mate Potsi, we raised $14,000 for the stroke foundation!!!
To say I’m stoked and proud is an understatement.. my initial fundraising goal was $500!! I think I seriously underestimated the awesomeness of our friends, family and broader community.
I logged 1217 minutes of activity!, Again, my goal had been 600minutes. I’m so happy that not only has this challenge raised so much money, it has shown me that maybe I can return to my former fitness levels, with a little bit of hard work and determination.
I’m so so very grateful for all the messages of support and encouragement, many people didn’t know what had happened until I began to share this challenge and my journey. It was not something I did lightly but I’m happy it has raised awareness about stroke identification and prevention. At the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about and hopefully the money raised will go a long way to preventing more strokes in the future.
There have been many tears and I can honestly say, most of them are from a place of deep gratitude to how much love and support I’ve received.
There is no way to name everyone but please know that if you’ve donated, reached out with messages, shared our videos or walked with me you hold a special place in my heart.
This has not been as easy journey, and the road is still a little long but it’s made a whole lot easier knowing I have such amazing people cheering me on.
