In loving memory of my Dad, I’m taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!

In 2019, my world changed forever. My Dad suffered a severe stroke at just 53 years old. 

He underwent emergency surgery and was placed in an induced coma. But despite the incredible efforts of the ICU team and the strength he showed, he passed away one week later.

Losing him so suddenly and so young was devastating. There’s not a day that goes by that I don’t think of him. His laugh, his love and the moments we’ll never get to share.

In the next 11 minutes, someone, somewhere in Australia is going to have a stroke.

Stroke is one of Australia's biggest killers and doesn't discriminate; it affects anyone, anytime. It claims more lives than breast cancer in women and prostate cancer in men. And incredibly, up to 120 babies and 400 children have a stroke in Australia each year.
