I’m taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!

Hi there,

I’m taking on Stride4Stroke again this September and raising funds for Stroke Foundation.

As a lot of people who know me are aware, Logan had a stroke before he was born. He was born in distress and struggling to breathe, and he had 2 seizures within the first 24 hours of life. This was a big red flag that something wasn't right. We were introduced to an amazing team of doctors, nurses, and specialists within the first few days of his life. The result of his stroke, meant that the right side of his body was compromised, and from an early age was diagnosed with Right sided Cerebral Palsy. This affects him daily in many ways, and he attends OT, Physio, and Speech therapy weekly to assist him.

While his body and brain functions far beyond what we had imagined considering the seriousness of his stroke, without the research and knowledge of stroke, as well as access to therapies for early intervention our lives would look very different. Logan would not have come as far as he has without all of this.

This year, every $11 raised represents one stroke expected in Australia. I’m aiming to make as much impact as I can — and I’d love your support.

Your donation or sharing of my page will help fund vital programs and services that:

  • Prevent stroke through education and awareness
  • Support people and families when stroke happens
  • Help survivors of stroke recover and rebuild their lives

Thank you so much for supporting me — together, we can help change the story of stroke.

So far I have helped Stroke Foundation deliver…

Initial advice and support from a health professional on StrokeLine

A stroke recovery pack to three survivors of stroke

Training to a StrokeSafe volunteer to deliver community talks.

Funding to stroke researchers to find the next game-changer in stroke.
