I’m taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!
Hi there,
My name is Leila, and I’m taking on Stride4Stroke this September and raising funds for Stroke Foundation to help create a future with fewer strokes.
In 2024, my Dad unexpectedly suffered an acute ischaemic stroke, ultimately causing his passing.
Strokes can seemingly come out of nowhere - people who have experienced a stroke, such as my Dad, can feel normal, even healthy, leading up to a stroke.
The sudden loss of an immediate family member has been nothing short of devastating and has left a remarkable impact on my life. It’s something that nobody deserves to go through.
That’s why, this September, I pledge to participate in Stride4Stroke to raise awareness and promote the development of prevention, research, and treatment of this cruel condition.
