I’m taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!
Hi there,
I’m taking on Stride4Stroke this September and raising funds for Stroke Foundation to help create a future with fewer strokes.
Almost 47,000 Australians will have a stroke this year — that’s one every 11 minutes.
This year, every $11 raised represents one stroke expected in Australia. I’m aiming to make as much impact as I can — and I’d love your support.
Your donation will help fund vital programs and services that:
- Prevent stroke through education and awareness
- Support people and families when stroke happens
- Help survivors of stroke recover and rebuild their lives
Every dollar truly makes a difference.
Thank you so much for supporting me — together, we can help change the story of stroke.
My Updates
Better late than never :)
This September, I’m walking in honour of my mum — to celebrate her memory, her devotion to our whānau, and to finally say the thank‑yous I never got the chance to speak aloud.
As part of Stride4Stroke, I’ve set myself a personal challenge: 100,000 steps in a single day — within 24 hours on the 25th of September, with the 26th as my backup.
This challenge is about more than movement. It’s about raising awareness of stroke and the impact it has on families, and it’s about reflecting on the importance of gratitude, connection, and making the most of the time we have with the people we love.
I am a little late posting this, but thank you for being part of this journey with me. I’ll post updates I have taken along the way — and any encouragement will mean more than you know
So far I have helped Stroke Foundation deliver…
Initial advice and support from a health professional on StrokeLine
A stroke recovery pack to three survivors of stroke
Training to a StrokeSafe volunteer to deliver community talks.
Funding to stroke researchers to find the next game-changer in stroke.

In memory of my Mum.
