I’m taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!
This November I’m taking part in Stride4Stroke to raise vital funds and awareness for the Stroke Foundation. (@strokefdn )
I am doing this for my Aunty Catherine (@cath_mary1976 ), one of the strongest, kindest, dedicated and bravest women I know. She had a stroke 18 years ago whilst having surgery to treat an aneurysm in her brain. She lost all movement to the right side of her body. She had to learn how to walk, talk, write and essentially how to do everything again. Catherine is super active exercising every day; she is positive, caring, kind and is my hero. While she still suffers from Aphasia she is one of the strongest and most amazing people I know!
In the month of November I will be reaching for a goal of 1000 minutes of exercise and I have a fundraising goal of $300 to support those who have had strokes, awareness programs to teach people how to spot strokes and research programs to find ways to prevent strokes.
So if you can and you like to please donate through my link to help support the stroke foundation!
So far I have helped Stroke Foundation deliver…
Initial advice and support from a health professional on StrokeLine
A stroke recovery pack to three survivors of stroke
Training to a StrokeSafe volunteer to deliver community talks.
Funding to stroke researchers to find the next game-changer in stroke.
