I’m taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!
This September, I’m proudly taking on Stride for Stroke in honour of my husband, Matt. Last year, Matt’s life was forever changed when an AVM ruptured, leading to a severe and life-altering stroke. He spent eight months in hospital and rehabilitation, relearning to walk and facing challenges most of us can hardly imagine.
To honour his resilience, I will walk 27 kilometres from Royal North Shore Hospital to Mona Vale Rehabilitation Centre—a journey taking around six hours. Matt plans to join me for the final kilometre. Each step I take symbolises not only Matt's journey but the ongoing fight of stroke survivors and their families.
