I’m taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!
Hi there,
I’m taking on Stride4Stroke this September and raising funds for Stroke Foundation to help create a future with fewer strokes.
Almost 47,000 Australians will have a stroke this year — that’s one every 11 minutes.
This year, every $11 raised represents one stroke expected in Australia. I’m aiming to make as much impact as I can — and I’d love your support.
Your donation will help fund vital programs and services that:
- Prevent stroke through education and awareness
- Support people and families when stroke happens
- Help survivors of stroke recover and rebuild their lives
Every dollar truly makes a difference.
Thank you so much for supporting me — together, we can help change the story of stroke.

yesterday Wednesday I did balcony gardening redecoration it was harder than expected that is why it is in my activity board but today was a surprise the fire alarm went on so down 4 floors and off I went for my walk. There was so much wind I had to fight to stay upright and OH ! marvel I di not sit once on the trajectory and I cut my time by 5 minutes from last week day one...I am improving.
Different ways towards achievement
exercises physiology
Even with only one class a week I can see the progresses from one week to the other. Naturally I also do some during the week just to get out of bed I need to have done some exercises and depending on the quality of my sleep my capacity changes .Itis like a roller coaster ups and downs.
day 3 it is almost a joy
going for a walk alone one walking stick only wow the sun is out I love it by the way the 45 min is tomorrow wrong day!!! if that was the only thing I was getting wrong!
Day 2
MUCH better I change the time giving the body a chance to be articulate enough I really function physically after 10 am and before 4pm then having a nap changes everything if I am lucky enough for one of those I can cook dinner perhaps have a little bit of social interaction until 8 pm but no nap I am done at 4pm and my aphasia gets the best of me around 3 pm at least I know!
Dy 1
Day 1, OUCH alright I have done it BUTI had to sit twice for 2 or 3 minutes it is too hard early morning I will aim at after lunch time !!! when the body is more awaked and less stiff.
1 YEAR
So far I have helped Stroke Foundation deliver…
Initial advice and support from a health professional on StrokeLine
A stroke recovery pack to three survivors of stroke
Training to a StrokeSafe volunteer to deliver community talks.
Funding to stroke researchers to find the next game-changer in stroke.

Awesome what you are doing Daniele. Great cause in assisting Stroke recovery in both your journey and others recovering from stroke.
