I’m taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!
Hi there, I'm participating in the Stride4Stroke challenge because I'm living proof that recovery is possible, but it's not easy! Back in 2011, at the age of 19, I had a ischemic stroke. It was the most scariest time of my life and for the people around me, I lost all functions and thought I would never be the same again, but here I am living proof!
As a stroke survivor, every step I take represents the battles I've fought, the strength I've discovered, and the support I received. This isn't just a fundraiser or a walk, its a way to raise awareness, give back and show others that a life after a stroke is full of purpose, progress and possibility. For those who know me, know I love going for walks, I'm walking for myself, for those still on their recovery journey, and for the countless lives impacted by a stroke everyday.
By supporting me, you'll be helping to sustain vital programs and resources that Stroke Foundation provides, including:
Preventing Stroke:
- StrokeSafe Talks
- Australia's Biggest Blood Pressure Check
- Information Resources
Saving Lives:
- F.A.S.T. (Face, Arms, Speech, Time) Signs of Stroke Awareness
- Living Guidelines for Stroke Management
- InformMe Website for Health Professionals
Enhancing Recovery:
- StrokeLine
- My Stroke Journey
- EnableMe Website for Survivors of Stroke
Your support goes beyond just a donation; it's a lifeline for individuals at risk of stroke and survivors of stroke.
Thank you for supporting me. Together we can change the story of stroke.
