I’m taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!

Hi there, in early July my husband and the father of our 4 children - Quirinus/Scoob,  suffered a severe stroke, which turned our whole world upside down.  We have been on one continual roller coaster ever since.  Scoob is slowly improving day by day but his road to recovery in rehab will be a long one.

Strokes are far more common than most people realise. In Australia, one stroke occurs every 11 minutes. They are one of the leading causes of disability and the second leading cause of death worldwide. Around 80% of strokes are preventable, yet they still impact more than 445,000 Australians living with the effects every single day.

Seeing first hand how quickly a stroke can turn life upside down has shown me the urgent need for more research, better treatment options, and increased awareness. That’s why I’ve decided to take part in Stride4Stroke for stroke research so that families like ours, now and in the future, can have hope, improved care, and better outcomes.

Every dollar raised will go directly towards funding crucial research into prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation for stroke survivors.
