Day 21

I'm terrible at keeping everybody up to date!

The walking has been going well... I'm up to date with my podcasts, I have new walking buddies and apart from some blisters and the fatigue and what appears to be a bruised toenail, I have been enjoying getting out and about!

Sydney is a beautiful city and there are some fabulous pathways along the rivers that never cease to delight.  I also discovered some marshlands and 'shipwrecks' that are practically on my doorstep.

The only downside is now I automatically wake up at 5am and I'm not sure that's a good thing :-D

I really appreciate everybody who has donated. Massively close to my goal now which is splendid.  Thank you. You are so appreciated.

Day 4

It's 9.30am on Day 4 and I'm currently up to 36.2 km.

I have rediscovered lactic acid and my glutes.

Weight: Same as Friday

Drinks: It's 9.30am on Monday morning - I'm not finding walking that hard I need morning vodka to get started

KM: See above

While I have been loving my podcasts, I was massively chuffed to have Ms Chris join me to smash out 11.67km on Sunday morning. I fully intend to take up all of you that have offered to walk with me during the month....

Shout out: to the bonds socks recommended by the ASICs staff member.... sooooo comfortable.

Day one.....

You'll be pleased to know that I got up at 5am this morning and walked my first ten kms.....

That is actually a lie. I forgot to set my alarm so I am going to meet a friend for lunch and then go for my walk before school pick-up.

If I totally Bridget Jones this....

Weight: Too much

Drinks: None yet. It's not yet 10am.

KMs walked: stay tuned.

I am however - wearing my #strideforstroke tshirt.

This November, I’m taking part in Stroke Foundation’s Stride4Stroke to help prevent, treat and beat stroke!

Sadly, 1 in 4 people will have a stroke in their lifetime.

Some of them will be young. Like I was. Like I am.

Strokes suck.

Stroke attacks the brain- the human control centre, changing lives in an instant. The impact of stroke can be devastating for the individual and the family. But stroke’s impact doesn’t need to be this great, research indicates that around 80 percent of strokes are preventable.

Your donation will help the Stroke Foundation support those affected right now and fund research to help prevent stroke, save lives and enhance recovery. Thank you.
