WOW, just WOW
A huge thank you to everyone who has donated to our team so far, we reached our goal and I have now increased it to $1500, so keep them coming in folks, every little bit helps. The money will hopefully work towards finding ways to prevent stroke and if it does happen, finding ways to improve recovery from loss of use of limbs, memory, speech, and lots of other issues. Well Mike is doing well in his preparation. He will be joining the team tomorrow and his plan is to swim 10ks during the month of November, with one arm. Thats 2.5 Ks a week he must do as a minimum, and he is now doing 1k in an hour.This November, I’m taking part in Stroke Foundation’s Stride4Stroke to help prevent, treat and beat stroke!
Sadly, 1 in 4 people will have a stroke in their lifetime.
Stroke attacks the brain- the human control centre, changing lives in an instant. The impact of stroke can be devastating for the individual and the family. But stroke’s impact doesn’t need to be this great, research indicates that around 80 percent of strokes are preventable.

The stroke foundation is very close to our hearts, as our daughter suffered a brain AVM rupture back in 2017 (in which caused a stroke from rupture). What an awseome thing you are doing Nicole!! Support from family, friends and therapies is what gets a person through. Well Done.
