This November, I’m taking part in Stroke Foundation’s Stride4Stroke to help prevent, treat and beat stroke!

In Australia, one stroke occurs every 9 minutes.

It is one of Australia's biggest killers, killing more women than breast cancer and more men than prostate cancer.

Stroke attacks the brain, the human control centre, changing lives in an instant. The impact of stroke can be devastating for the individual and the family. However, the impact of stroke can be prevented, with research indicating that around 80 percent of strokes are preventable.

I have picked my Stride4Stroke activity goal and I’m ready to go!

Stride 4 Stroke

Hi everyone, thank you for visiting my stride 4 stroke profile. I aiming to work 30kms over the month of November to help raise funds and awareness regarding stroke.

In late 2015 I suffered a hemorrhagic stroke and was lucky to survive. However with the ongoing help and support from family, friends and allied health team members am I happy to say I am now able to live independently.

Although the road to recovery had many ups and downs and there was times were I could see my life improving the support I had from family, friends and most importantly myself I NEVER gave up.

I am looking forward to taking part in stride 4 stroke!
