I’m taking on the challenge of Stride4Stroke and raising funds for Stroke Foundation!

Hi there!

In May 2020, in my final months of my teaching degree, I experienced a stroke and thankfully recovered well from it. I underwent a PFO closure on my heart to stop the abnormal flow of blood between the two atrial chambers, which is what caused my stroke. I am thankful that I was able to heal and recover from that experience and now I get to live life with my husband and family and continue living my dream as a teacher.

However, not many people are as lucky as I was. This is why I will be participating in Stroke Foundation’s Stride4Stroke where I hope to continue to raise awareness and make a fracture of a difference. As a stroke survivor, I will continue to cherish life and am fortunate to be the person on the other end raising awareness.

This is now my fourth year that I get to participate in Stride4Stroke. I am making it a goal, with my awesome team, to move my body for 1200 minutes in the month of November. I would love it if you could help me and my team by donating to help prevent stroke, save lives and enhance recovery. If you do, please let me know as I want to personally thank you ? And again, thank you for your support!
