Stroke can happen to anyone, of any age and affects everyone differently. There are more than 445,000 people in our community whose lives have been changed by stroke – children, teenagers, working age Australians, retirees and older people – and their number is growing.
In August 2018 my Dad suffered a major stroke something that changed our lives forever. I am beyond words and so proud of everything Dad achieved with all the speed bumps in the road. Not everyone has the determination he had to do what he did and I am so grateful I was able to be part of the journey.
I’m taking part in #stride4stroke this November to help @strokefdn prevent, treat and beat stroke. It’s about increasing your daily/weekly ‘Moving Minutes’, donating and doing your bit to help make a difference to the lives of people affected by stroke. I’ve set myself a goal to walk, ride and dance for 600 minutes or more throughout November and would love your support.
